I'm sharing with you today a fall card that I made using a stamp set from Stampin' Up. I think this set is now retired, but I'm super glad I got it! Don't you just love that sentiment?!?

CPS 283
Oh is it nice to have some down time to craft on Sunday afternoon! Today I nabbed the current sketch from CPS.
Here's my take on it. I first tried turning the sentiment vertically so the card would be the other direction, but I really liked the direction of the original sketch better, so here's what I came up with. I FINALLY used my October Afternoon 5 and Dime collection.
I have a seriously hard time using things that I think are super cute. I feel like I'm damaging their overal l cuteness by cutting them!

CPS 280
Seriously! These past couple of CPS sketches have been awesome for using some of my favorite scraps! Here's my take on the CPS Sketch #280.
This stamp set from Stampin' Up was the first set I ever got! (Trendy Trees) But ironically, it's the trickiest one to use, and I could not do it without the Stampamajig!

CPS #276
Oh baby, I liked this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems. I pulled out some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday papers and got busy. Whoever thought to name that line "Girl Friday" is brilliant. It's just so stinkin' cute!
Then I pulled out a new favorite stamp set of mine from Stampin' Up called "Button Buddies." All of the stamps are designed to hold a little button somewhere on them perfectly...more to come on those...and no, the pearl isn't actually the buttons that go with that set, but I just liked it.
I hope your summer day is a happy day!

CPS #209
No one would believe how much it is helping me to have a new sketch to work on more often! This was a simple and fun card that I made for my good friend who recently had a baby girl! There is no better way to welcome a girl into this world than with plenty of paper flowers! CPS #209--Here's my take on it:Materials used:
Cardstock--Stampin' Up
Label Die--Stampin' Up
Ink--Versamark from Stampin' Up and Distress Ink by Ranger
Embossing folder--Provo Craft
Pink flowers and flower center--Prima Flowers
Chipboard letters--Cosmo Cricket
Tissue paper that is older than the hills from my gift wrap box
Ribbon--Offray
Brad, stamps--JoAnn Crafts
Other supplies--corner rounder punch (Marvy Uchida), scallop circle punch (Fiskars)
Finally! A Tardy CPS #207
Well, I finally got CPS #207 about two weeks too late, but I loved doing it! Actually this card was one I originally started, hated, waited (two weeks) then picked back up and loved! What a great sketch!

Materials:
Cardstock--Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper--The Girls' Paperie
Flower Center--Prima Flowers
Rubber Stamp--Stampin' Up
Lace Ribbon--Offray
Other paper (flower) from my scrap bin
I also had fun with this new embossing folder from Provo Craft. My mom and I sat down last Saturday to a cup of tea and I made this card while she made a card from my other Provo Craft embossing folder (with the grass and bird.) Hers will be the perfect birthday card for my uncle because he loves birdwatching!

Hi! CPS #206
This week's CPS Sketch (#206), which I fell in LOVE with instantly because of that big circle!!! Papers are my absolutely number one favorite thing about card making. Everything looks good with some nice paper! In fact, I believe that so much so that I just can't make myself use up my favorite paper ever and also the very first paper I ever used to get started on this scrapping journey almost two years ago. (By the way, it was October Afternoon's Cherry Hill collection. I think I will have to craft it into a project that I will keep for myself...)
Anyway, after that paper dedication, here is CPS #206:

And here's my version...and I love this paper too:

CPS really is helping me be a faster card maker because I busted this guy out on a school night with master's homework too!
Materials:
Cardstock--Stampin' Up Crumb Cake and Real Red
Patterned Paper--The Girls' Paperie
Ribbon--Offray
Pearls--Kaiser Craft
Button and other ribbon from my stash

Live Happy--CPS #205
CPS #205
Well, to be honest, I was really not very happy with how this card turned out! I was trying to use up scraps (success there) but ended up with it look much more plain than I wanted, and at that point I decided to give up and put my energy into something else. But, the card was already done, so why not post it to the drawing anyway, right? The good news is that I got to use up some scraps that have been hanging out with me for WAY too long, and all of them were some of my favorite papers that I have ever had. In fact, a couple of them go back to the FIRST papers I ever had! I absolutely love everything October Afternoon, so it was hard to say goodbye to those polka dots! I also love the Cosmo Cricket scraps in there too!
Supplies:
Cardstock--Stampin' Up
Patterned cardstock--October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket scraps
Rub on and sticker--October Afternoon
