Oh So Succulent

I absolutely adore these new In Colors from Stampin' Up. I made this card for my stamp club's monthly sketch challenge. The challenge was to create a card with a die-cut edge and using this sketch. What a fun challenge!

Bee Mine

This was a card I made for my stamp club's monthly sketch challenge.  The challenge was a sketch plus a love theme for February, so I pulled out this cute little bee from Stampin' Up's Honeycomb Hello set and the hexagon hive thinlit also from Stampin' Up.  I layered the die over kite-string paper from Pink Paislee so it wouldn't be too pink and purple and girly for my hubby.

Sampler

I am finally posting the projects from last weekend!  Last Friday night was my monthly get together with my crafty friends, and here is the project my sister found:

Mine is a LOT like hers were, just with a different color.  I loved this project because we got to use so many different stamps, embossing, and some bling.  This would be a great use for a new stamp set that you just want to use every single stamp from right away!!

Well then I got so inspired I thought I should make another one with some of my favorite ever October Afternoon papers.  I originally was thinking of using this in my classroom, but it actually fits perfectly in my kitchen, so it has found a home there instead.  ;)

Stampin' Club Night!

I had so much fun (like I always do) last night at our Stampin' Club! My sister is such an amazing artist in so many ways! She showed us the mother of pearl technique, and we used aqua painters and hand-dyed ribbon!

You can see the pearlized background above. All of this was handmade! What a beautiful stamp set as well!

Thank you, Jessica and my other crafty friends, for the fun night, beautiful card, and new ideas! (See her blog on the sidebar: The Unrepentant Craft Addict)

This is a tag I made last weekend that was more experimental than anything. I watched Tim Holtz's Distress Ink tutorial and tried to use it. This was actually second attempt...first attempt was a major fail. I still couldn't get the vivid color that he got though (maybe my stamps need a refill?)

Off to more tries today! Happy weekend crafting!
