Shore Birds Thank You

I am loving this Wetlands set!  This was inspired by several cards on Pinterest (Thank you, LeeAnn Graff!) which is done using a sponged seascape and Distress Inks.  Super fun, fast, and easy, but I loved the result!

Collage Style

I haven't used this set much since I got it (Nature Walk,) so I was trying to find a way to use every stamp in it!  The result was this card, which was so fun!  I used my new banner punch to make the banner and some chalk ink to dauber on it.  I also altered the background using the new "Gorgeous Grunge" set from Stampin' Up.  The nice thing is this card has lots going on but it's still fairly flat, so I can actually mail it without the envelope exploding!

Love these Papers!

This is a card I started MONTHS ago at one of our craft nights and just finished yesterday.  I absolutely love these papers from Stampin' Up.  I purposely left the sentiment off so I can add it when the occasion arises for me to give the card to someone!

Best Day in Forever

First Sunday afternoon in a donkey's ears...in a coon's age...that I haven't had to study!!!!  It has been such a fabulous day that it actually feels like I'm on vacation or something!  I woke up this morning and leisurely drank my morning coffee and ate breakfast with my hubby, went to church, took the dogs to the park/pond to play in the water, and CRAFTED!  Here's what came out.  I haven't had this much fun in MONTHS.  Now I'm off to work out!  Such an excellent day!

So it all started like this...

I submitted my portfolios for National Boards today!!!!!!  I had plans in my mind to submit them and use the rest of the day for test prep...yeah, you probably know how that went!  I feel so burned out on it!!  So I told myself to take the afternoon off!  I have sooo been dying to craft.

Fun With Vellum!

Yes, it must be Christmas break since I'm crafting, right?  But I also got lots done on my certification, and in 6 more months it will be done for better or for worse (or at least until November if I don't pass.)  I actually really did feel guilty crafting when I probably could have been studying, but I told myself to get over it!!  I had plenty of thank-you cards to make for my students who gave me Christmas goodies, so I had lots of fun one afternoon with some vellum I bought...no, I've never owned vellum...I know, right?
Sorry for the picture quality...I did some heat embossing on this one with a two-layer stamp from Stampin' Up, and I love how it turned out!  You'd never guess the second layer of the poinsettia is bright pink...

The house and tree are stamps from Papertrey Ink.  You can tell this is my favorite Christmas color combo!!!

Another double layer

Nothing with vellum, but I realized I needed some quick thank yous!
