Country

I have a couple of cards to share with you that were inspired by this month's Papercrafts magazine.  They had a trends section in which they showcased cards from the "country" trend that is so cute right now.

(Only for me, I was really thinking that country is not a trend.  I think I have been and will be loving that for a long time...these are some of my old cards from at least 3 years ago...)

Anyway, sorry about that little sidebar.  Here are the cards I made this weekend:

The first one is for my friend who is moving from Denver to New York in two weeks with her hubby and their 5 month old baby!  I thought she'd like a little note as soon as she arrives at her new address letting her know I've been praying for them!

I really love how this one turned out!  I can't take credit for it at all because it was inspired by two cards in Papercrafts magazine ("Just Hatched Card" by Rachel Narens Izakowicz and  "Just Ducky Card" by Mandy LaCroix) as well as a muse from a couple weeks ago at the CASE study challenge blog.  Julie Ebersole, the designer, used white on kraft, and I really loved the effect!  I was also especially inspired by another challenge blogger, Chris F. and her chevron card.  I might try it out on a few more ideas I've got floating around...
